As a filmmaker, director and published playwright, Mark has had films and plays performed in various festivals and theaters worldwide. His film, Aimless, was selected for Wendy’s Shorts (Best Dramedy Short, February 2016), Miami Independent Film Festival, Move Me Productions and elsewhere. Ask Your Doctor About ... , has played in both live and online film festivals worldwide, including the New Haven Film Festival, Festival 52, Wendy’s Films, . Book It! was selected for the 2015 Art By Chance festival. Bad Doggie, Chuckles was selected for the Fort Myers Film Festival as well as the 2013 Filminute collection. This Job’s a Blast was selected for the 2014 Filminute International Film Festival. The Session was selected as a “Best of” for the Toronto GiggleShorts festival and featured on itsashort.com. Several of Mark’s plays and monologues have been published. Born to be Blue won and was published in the 2002 Samuel French Off-off Broadway Festival, and Priming the Pump was a semifinalist the following year. His plays, Au Revoire, Noir and The Intervention, are published by Brooklyn Publishers and have both appeared in various festivals worldwide. His full-length play, Born Again Again, ran off-off Broadway and was favorably reviewed by Show Business Weekly, New York’s CD-101 radio station and The Emergency Gazette. Among productions of his plays, Entrance Exam, was a winner of the Gettysburg College 10-minute Play Festival, and Old Before His Time, appeared in the New Haven International Festival of Arts and Ideas. Mark was also published in Smith & Kraus Best Men’s Stage Monologues of 1998 and 1999.
